Everest Bank opens 48th branch in Gongabu

KATHMANDU, Nov 8, 2012

Everest Bank has formally opened its 48th branch office and 62nd ATM in Gongobu of Kathmandu. The branch office and ATM were jointly inaugurated by Chief Secretary Leela Mani Paudyal and Bank Chairman BK Shrestha, says a bank statement. The inaugural function was also attended by various dignitaries including Maha Prasad Adhikari, deputy governor of Nepal Rastra Bank and Suresh Basnet, president of Nepal Chamber of Commerce.

As per the unaudited financial results of first quarter ended mid-October, the bank generated an operating profit of Rs 538 million registering a year-on-year growth of 33.63 percent. During the period, deposits and credit of the bank grew to Rs 50.05 billion and Rs 37.80 billion, respectively, marking growth of 13.87 percent and 15.66 percent, the statement says.
