Entrepreneurs from Nepal and India have pledged to invest for the
production of herbal and Ayurvedic medicines concluding that such
medicines were highly beneficial to the human health.
The entrepreneurs have also agreed to promote bio-technology and do research on utility of herbal products.
In the second day of the conference on natural products organized with the objective of holding joint discussions on the progress of herbal and Ayurvedic medicines, the entrepreneurs from both the country vowed to pour joint investments in this sector to develop as an industry.
Chief Executive Officer of the Investment Board Radhesh Pant said that the government has taken a policy to promote investment by declaring 2013 as Investment Year.
Entrepreneurs from both the countries related to herbs processing, production and sale and distribution and researchers are taking part in the conference.
Experts from both countries are presenting different working papers on research in herbal medicine and how herbal products could be used in the health sector.
