Wheat production up by 6.66 % in Bara

A total of 92,800 metric tons wheat has been produced in Bara district this year.

According to the District Agricultural Development Office, wheat crop was planted in 29,000 hectares of land this year where 3.2 metric tons wheat was produced in per hectare.

Project Officer of the Office, Ram Dayal Thakur said that wheat production was increased by 6.66 per cent this year due to favorable climate though the wheat farming area was decreased by 0.34 per cent compared to  last year.

Last year, a total of 87,200 metric tons wheat was produced in 29,100 hectares of land.
