Nepal Stock Exchange Limited has sealed an agreement with Yomari Incorporated Private Limited for the maintenance and upgrading of the computerized trading at the only stock market in the country.
The annual contract was signed by NEPSE General Manager and Yomari-Nepal representative Rajesh Maharjan.
Yomari-Nepal is the local partner of a British company, which has been looking after the computerized system at the NEPSE for the past six years.
NEPSE is mulling over whether to completely replace the existing system, which is in a precarious stage, or to just update it.
Yomari will prepare a report suggesting the necessary changes the system requires within six months, according to NEPSE sources.
With the help of Yomari, NEPSE will work on software that will update the market indices automatically. So far NEPSE has been manually adjusting the indices.
